mad dogs and the englishman

Hailed as the ultimate Joe Cocker tribute show, featuring members of Joe Cocker’s band and musicians recently with Barbara Streisand, Rod Stewart, Michael Bolton, Ettta James, Colin Hay and more. Susan Davis, Director of Special Events at Laguna Beach’S famous The Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach, says this, “We included Mad Dogs & The Englishman as part of our summer concert series. It was not only sold out but was one of the highlights of our year. Everyone was on their feet. It was an extraordinary performance. The band members were all top notch. Jason Feddy is Joe Cocker!”

SHAKESPEARE SONGS FROM THE PLAYS

There are songs in The Plays, but the melodies are lost to time. Jason Feddy and his band have brought them to life and made them groove. Album recorded by the legendary Ed Stasium. The live show “Shakepeare’s Fool” which includes speeches from The Plays performed by brilliant actors, was conceived by Jason and UCI teacher and poet, John Gardiner.

THE PAGEANT OF THE MATTRESS

Covid 19 sent everyone nuts. In the early months of 2020, and in an attempt to remain relatively sane, Jason and his wife, actress Ava Burton, began broadcasting a weekly show from their spare bedroom/office on Facebook Live. The obvious chemistry between the two is infectious as they engage viewers, read out jokes and comments, play games and make fun of each other as only the Brits know how. Jason sings his own songs and cover songs and takes requests from viewers - often for songs he’s never played before, in a segment called “Stump The Chump”. The Pageant of The Mattress begins at noon PST (8pm UK) on Sundays and goes till it runs out of steam. See Jason’s Facebook page for details.

The Beatroots live in Laguna Beach

Jason’s Beatles cover band is a true tribute, in that they don’t dress up, or attempt to sound like The Fab Four at all. These guys just play the songs in their own way. Jazz drummer Evan Stone has toured with Natalie Cole, Bass Player and singer John Troy was in Joe Cocker’s Band and Guitarist and singer Geoff Pearlman is currently playing with Jacob Dylan and is featured in the movie “Echo In The Canyon”.

Jason Feddy is the morning jock on Laguna Beach’s only FM station. From disseminating local news, to interviewing celebrities, Jason’s unique voice has been the sound of Laguna for a decade. His “Jason Sings The Police Blotter” (songs inspired by Laguna’s mostly ridiculous crime log) segment is now the stuff of legend. For more information, search for Jason Feddy at kxfmradio.org.

WILD NIGHT

“I don’t know what I did to deserve to sing with players like these,” says Jason. “This Van Morrison tribute is insanely good!” These guys have toured, written and recorded with everyone from Michael Jackson down. Check out the website by clicking on the photo above or the link below…
